Itinerary
- Day 1 — Arrival & candlelight dinner
Your honeymoon starts with a VIP meet & greet on arrival at Siem Reap airport and a luxurious transfer to your hotel. Acclimatise at the hotel pool until the early evening, when it is time for a romantic candlelight dinner.
If you are not too tired, ask reception to organise a ride downtown to Pub Street, the centre of Siem Reap’s nightlife. Overnight in Siem Reap.
- Day 2 — Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm & sunset gondola
Arrive early at the Angkor Archaeological Park to get a head start before the tour buses. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century by King Suryavarman II, based on the temple-mountain plans of Khmer architecture and designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the devas.
Continue to Ta Prohm with the big jungle tree roots, dedicated to the mother of Jayavarman VII in the 12th century — the Tomb Raider temple. Enjoy the sunset in a traditional VIP gondola, sliding slowly along the moat of Angkor Thom, over the holy waterway where history, nature and ancient culture come alive.
- Day 3 — Phnom Kulen & Apsara dinner
In the morning head for Phnom Kulen National Park, north of Siem Reap. Surrounded by pristine nature and tropical birds you visit the Reclining Buddha at Preah Ang Thom Pagoda, carved directly into the mountain rock.
Other must-see attractions include the River of a Thousand Lingas and the spectacular Phnom Kulen waterfall, under which you can enjoy a very romantic natural rainshower. Lunch on top of Phnom Kulen at a typical local restaurant with stunning views.
Before returning, your driver takes you on a Siem Reap sightseeing tour including the Artisan Angkor wood and stone carving centre and the famous old market. Back at the hotel to shower and relax before a tuk tuk pick up at 6:30pm for dinner and the Apsara dancing show at Kanell with the Asian Fusion Deluxe menu.
